![]() I had no problems with the final message, I received a good one, but I've seen other reports from players who complained about this issue. ![]() In my case I wrote a message in Portuguese, I feel sorry for the person who takes my message and doesn't understand anything. on account of not advance notice, many players write anything, and this can be anti-climatic in some cases. the factor what bothered me the most was the fact that the player is not warned that the message he sends to his children through the tree is used in a database with messages from all players, which randomly displays a message written in the tree at the end. However, in general what holds you in the game is the story, and the scenarios make the duration of the game more bearable, but the gameplay there's nothing special, it's quite common and repetitive, and it's kind of boring to keep looking for lights on the set, not knowing what they're for. The sets are beautiful and very interesting, although it is remarkable that not all of them had the same imposed dedication. The narrative in my opinion is his strongest point. / The game definitely has an exciting story, which makes us reflect on our own lives. In any case, it was still a pleasant experience for me even though I cried a little bit and I immediately called my dad as soon as the game ended.Ģh 27m PlayedThe First Tree - 7/10 To be honest, I didn't have a lot of expectations when I started the game, but I was surprised by it. I think it's more therapeudic for the developer than for the gamer, if that makes sense. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who's going through the mourning process because I'm unsure of how helpful it would be. I like the visuals, I wish the fox was a bit faster to control and I hated one of the last tracks of the game. One of his lines was something like "we should be thankful for not being able to find a job" and that infuriated me. However at some point, he upset me greatly with a few of his remarks and at that point I felt bad for his father instead of the guy we're supposed to relate to. I got invested in finding the baby foxes and I was concerned about the male narrator's situation at first. Thankfully he's alive and we see each other every week. I wish finding a random toy in the middle of the forest would trigger another dialogue between the narrators, but no, only silence, after you spent a minute running to it, because you spotted it in the distance.ġh 52m ProgressI just played this and I'm unsure if this would help me if I was grieving the loss of my father (or anyone else). The worst part is, there are some random objects scattered around the levels, but you can’t interact with them. And there is a lot of running around, because the levels are huge, so finding your way takes quite some time. The world just isn’t interesting enough to run around with only piano music in the background. The voice acting and story telling is well made and what made me come back to game, every time I stopped playing. The controls are not great, which would be fine, if the game were just about walking and running…But there are small platforming parts, which I absolutely hated every time they came up. What takes me out of the game is the gameplay itself. I do not mind the graphics, it is very simple 3D, but they did a lot with colors and lighting, so most of the time it still looks pretty in my opinion. Maybe I am not the right person for this type of game, maybe the game itself just isn’t so great, hard to tell. I am struggling to complete the game unfortunately and it is not that long.
